Course Outline

Students of this six-hour course will will benefit by becoming familiar with the Regulations of the Florida Administrative Code governing design and permitting of public water supplies and the resources available on the internet.

This course includes a multiple choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.

Learning Objective

At the conclusion of this six-hour course, the student will be able to answer the following questions:

• What systems are public water supplies? How to determine if your client's project requires a public water supply permit.
• If a system is a public water supply, what chapter of the Florida Administrative Code (FAC) applies to its permitting?
• If a system needs a permit, what agency has jurisdiction?
• How to perform Design and Permitting of a Limited Use System (64E-8 FAC)
• How to perform Design and Permitting of a Florida Safe Drinking Water Act System (62-550 & 62-555 FAC)
• Where to go on the Internet to get the Regulations and Application Forms.
